Now, however, there’s a new window cleaning solution devised by the windows and doors installation team here at Clera Windows and Doors that can keep windows looking their peak best for six months or longer. In the process, the technique can help homeowners save hundreds on cleaning supplies for residential windows.

In this article, we’ll take a look at the Blue Rain window cleaning method.

Why Change Current Window Cleaning Processes?

Many homeowners are finding that they spend a large majority of their home cleaning schedule simply trying to maintain their windows. It can feel as if, no matter how many times they’re cleaned, the windows still have streaks and dirt marks. Now, a new solution is ensuring windows remain cleaner for far longer.

To begin using the Blue Rain window cleaning method, homeowners will require the following:

  • Blue Dawn dishwashing soap
  • Rain-X original
  • Rain-X 2-in-1

The Steps to a Cleaner Window

Step 1:

Put a drop of Blue Dawn in a spray bottle filled with warm water. Shake the bottle and then apply to the windows. Wipe off in a circular motion with a newspaper or paper towel. Homeowners may need to add an additional drop of Blue Dawn to the mixture if their windows are especially dirty.

Step 2 (Outside surface only):

Wait till the window is dry and then apply Rain-X. To apply, spray Rain-X Original about 1.5 feet away from the window – just enough to mist the surface. Then wipe the surface with a newspaper in a circular motion.

Step 3 (Inside surface):

Spray the Rain-X 2-in-1 about 1.5 feet away from the window. Then wipe the surface with a newspaper in a circular motion.

After completing step 3, homeowners will now have streak-free, clean windows that maintain their appearance over many months. To learn more on the Blue Rain cleaning method devised by the team here at Clera Windows and Doors, please contact our offices directly today.

I invented this method two decades ago. I stopped using it because buildup of RainX after only 3 cleanings makes it impossible to clean the windows due to the hydrophobic nature of the RainX. It will last for another 2 years before the elements wear it off. And nothing will remove it but time.

Trust the guy who started it. RAINX is not for architectural glass and RAINX will tell you that.
